((The first post in a new series called Lynchburg Fridays, talking about the unique treasures this city holds)).
Ahhh Lynchburg. I only gained an appreciation for this little city once I moved into an apartment with my friends, and we took it upon ourselves to seek out every good thing here. A bucket-list to explore. And sooner or later I found that I loved it. I mean it's not Charlotte or anything ((shout out to my Queen City, holla)), but it's a sweet place to be for now. Also, in the words of my roomie, "Lynchburg is a city for undercover creatives." Yea girl. It's been the perfect canvas for us to start some of our new creative ventures, because there is so much local support that provides inspiration and instruction.
A few weeks ago we took a calligraphy workshop with Kathleen Jean at the Toolry. I love this place because they really foster creative entrepreneurship and community. Not to mention the space/atmosphere is on point and I can almost pull off the urban-hipster thing when I'm there. That's a joke. I totally can't. But really, it's this kind of place that makes Lynchburg much more than it seems. Also, I'm clearly a beginner... if you couldn't tell by my scared-white-knuckle-grip, but it was so fun. And if I could do that every weekend, I would.
Speaking of, cheers to the weekend (!!!)
