Everyday Makeup Routine

Today's post (as per request!) is all about my everyday makeup routine. I've used most of the same products for years, a tried and true kind of girl when it comes to make-up. Also a cheap-cheaper-cheapest kind of girl when it comes to make-up. Which is why you'll find that 90% of my go-to's are drugstore buys under $20 #whatwhattttt ! So here we go, in 15-minutes or less mmk?

  1. Prime with Sonia Kashuk Primer Base. I've tried a Nars primer (pricey and I didn't see a difference with/without it) as well as a Make Up Forever primer (made my skin breakout!), but recently picked this up at Target and have been pleasantly surprised how well it's worked for me.
  2. Using my Beauty Blender dampened with a bit of water, I grab my Revlon PhotoReady foundation and go to town with the sponging. I don't think I'll ever get over this foundation you guys (and I've tried more name brands than I want to remember paying for). I think we're going on 5 years together now? What a catch.
  3. To help my makeup stay put, I use a bit of Sonia Kashuk Setting Powder.
  4. My sisters gave me some ColourPop Eye Shadow for Christmas which I've been swiping over my lid, and then with my old Lancome pallet I'll add some purple to the crease for definition (or a gold/brown color from my Sephora compact).
  5. If I'm feeling fancy, I'll even add some Revlon Liquid Liner (my fave).
  6. I use the remnants of my Anastasia Brow Powder to fill in some of the sparse places, and then define and shape with the Benefit Eyebrow Pencil.
  7. Using a foundation brush, I take Rimmel Stay Matte and highlight under my eyes, chin, and the middle of my forehead.
  8. Then I'll add a touch of Physicians Formula Bronzer to my hairline and some Milani Blush to my cheeks.
  9. A few swipes of Loreal Mascara, maybe some lipgloss and tada!

I'll usually skip all steps except mascara and blush for the workday, mostly because I prefer sleep (LOL). But if I have meetings or a lunch date planned than this is my step-by-step. I'm not a makeup artist by any means, clearly. But! I do have my favorites that I'm perfectly happy with for now : )
