DIY Distressed Jeans

Ok you guys! If you know me, you know I've been obsessed with my white Madewell ripped jeans (worn here and here). But here's the thing, they started stretching out hardcore. And now I can really only wear them if I have an extra long shirt on, and even then they aren't skinnies anymore they are definitely a "boyfriend" kind of style. Worst. So I decided not to drop a bunch of money on a new pair, and instead go with what I know I love: Rockstar Skinnies from my secret fave Old Navy ((yassssss)). But they didn't have a white distressed pair, so I wanted to improvise. My DIY queen of a roomie walked me through how/where to snip and cut. And honestly it was SO EASY you guys. And actually way fun. So here we go, step by step so you can try!

1. With your jeans on, make small snips right where you'd like the cuts/distress to be. I did one on each knee and then another on my right thigh.

2. Take your jeans off and then make full cuts where your marked. I left about an inch between the edge of the seam and the edge of the cut on both sides.

3. I also cut off a few inches of the at the bottom. Mostly because *short girl probs* and literally had to because they were too long. And I'm over the cuffing situation.

4. Throw them in the washer and dried like normal. And voila (!!!). Perfectly distressed. Almost as if you paid extra for it ; )

If you have any questions feel free to send them my way! And I'll try and answer them for you... aka ask my roomie, lol.
